The outer loop is used to Statistics of the permeability logs are written The inner loop is used to generate
generate the required logs to an Output sheet: Toggle on List 1 to output separate permeability and flow
for each well. the min/max and List 2 to output the mean. capacity logs of each perforation.
Thickness of a production zone is calculated by subtracting the Top MD from the Bottom MD of the corresponding
perforation.
The average permeability- Well name, perforation The variable “counter” is used to count
thickness logs of all perforations number, thickness, average the perforations in each well and to
in a well are combined into one permeability and flow capacity label the generated logs accordingly
log, called AvPermH. are written to an Output (e.g. Perm_1, AvPermH_2 etc.)
sheet, in tabular format.
A sub-folder called “Workflow Logs” is generated under the Global well logs and the perforation’s permeability and
average flow capacity logs (e.g. Perm_1, AvPermH_2 etc.) are moved into this folder. This is achieved by identifying
the logs starting with “Perm_” or “AvPermH_”.
Please note that Petrel does not allow to open the Well Log calculator with a variable as Well input.
Therefore, to set the template of the log you are generating and to
resample it from a given log (e.g. MD), you need to drop the
“Wells” folder as Well input and double-click on the Well Log
calculator in the workflow.
After defining the template and the log from which to sample, set the Well input back to “Variable A”.
