SCENE 1
FADE IN:
INT. FRONT ROOM – EVENING TIME
VOICEOVER (ERICA)
It was the summer of 09, the summer that changed me forever. A job I
thought would help me make my life better. Little did I know, that
my life? ….My life would cease to… well cease to exist.
ERICA
I honestly don’t know why I do this to myself, I don’t even like
babysitting
JAX
Yeah, you should be here with me right now, I miss you ERICA.
ERICA
I miss you more JAX.
JAX
Well… How long do you have to babysit until?
ERICA
Until 10

The electricity comes back on and the baby upstairs begins to cry,
ERICA ignores this as she’s more curious about what’s happened in
the kitchen, she begins to search the kitchen for what may have
caused the smash. The power cuts off again and the baby’s crying
intensifies. ERICA acknowledges this and goes upstairs to figure out
why the baby is crying.
When walking up the stairs she hears unusual sounds coming from the
baby’s room. Erica walks slowly up the stairs and the distorted
sounds grow louder.
ERICA
Is anyone there?
ERICA begins to hear loud HOWLING sounds in the kitchen, ERICA
squeezes her closes her eyes in disbelief as to what’s happening
around her
ERICA (whispering to herself)
There’s no one there. There’s no one there
ERICA gets closer to the door and sees that there are two footsteps
outside of the baby’s room. She looks even closer and sees that
there’s shadow of the figure legs on the baby’s side of the door.

ERICA stands paralysed in complete fear as she doesn’t want to
believe what’s going on. She begins to hear loud THUMPING sounds
downstairs however, she ignores it as she’s still in disbelief.
ERICA works up enough courage and STAMMERS
ERICA
Who’s there?
ERICA waits behind the door for a couple of seconds, she begins to
see the figures legs underneath the gap of the door move. ERICA
takes a deep breath and pushes the door open. Before saying anything
a blinding beam of light shines in her eyes.
ERICA (SCREAMIN)
AHHHHHHHH!
The screen fades to black
