1. From the Foundation Plan (See Attached Drawing), the whole area of a One
Classroom School Building will be Backfilled with Common Borrow at the height of
500mm (Add 30% for compaction allowance). Compute the Labor cost for the said
backfill if the rate of workers are as follows:
Laborer =Php250.00/per Day
Skilled (Mason & Carpenter) =Php350.00/per Day
1-Mason & 1-Laborer can backfill 4.0Cu.m. per day.
(20 Points)

2. From the same Foundation Plan, Compute the Labor Cost of concreting of slab with
temperature bars if slab on grade will be pour throughout the whole area, with
Temperature reinforcement of 10mmØ spaced at 500mm on centers and slab
thickness is 150mm. Two men (1-Mason &1-laborer) can pour 0.84 Cu.m. of Concrete
per day, 10mmØ x 6.0mts RSB =3.7kgs. Follow the rate of workers in Problem#1. (30
Points)

3. For the six (6) footings shown in the plan, Compute the Number of Days to excavate
the whole foundation if one (1) man can excavate 1.50Cum. per day. (20 Points)

4. The wall with a dimension of 32mx3.5m is to be laid with 4” CHB, how many days will
it takes for 1-Mason & 1-Helper to finish the job? Neglect the reinforcement. A Mason
& a Helper can lay 100Pcs of CHB per day. (15 Points)

5. From Problem #4, The same wall will be plastered both Face. Compute the Labor cost
of 1-Mason & 1-helper to finish the job. 1-Mason+1-helper can do the
plastering=8sq.m./day.
