3 Control of Documents requirement, all the wording is exactly


same in ISO 9001 4.2.3 Control of Documents. In ISO 9001, this is one of the mandatory procedure,
however, in ISO 14001, the standard never mention clearly this is a mandatory procedure.
This clause requires organization to control the documents mentioned in ISO 14001 standard and those
documents defined by organization. Records are consider a special type of document and shall be
controlled according to ISO 14001 4.5.4 Control of Records.
