A. When O/p Is Across Capacitor: Type of Response

The document describes Bode plots and provides examples of Bode plots for various transfer functions. It summarizes that Bode plots show the magnitude and phase of a transfer function versus frequency on semilog plots. It then draws Bode plots using MATLAB for transfer functions of RC, RL, and RLC circuits, labeling them as lowpass, highpass, or bandpass filters based on where the output is taken. It also designs a lowpass filter with a cutoff frequency equal to the author's roll number and provides the transfer function and Bode plot.

Q1) What do you mean by the term bode Plot? Describe it briefly.

Ans. Bode plots are semilog plots of the magnitude (in decibels) and phase (in degrees) of a transfer
function versus frequency.

Bode plots are usually termed as the industrial representation of the signal in frequency-Domain

Q2) Draw the bode plot of all the transfer function found in Lab # 05. Show all calculations and plots.
Attach bode plots using MATLAB for the respective transfer functions and label the type of response.

Q3) Design a low pass filter with cut off frequency equals to your Roll#. Write its transfer function
and attach its bode plot using MATLAB.

Low Pass Filter:

A low pass filter is a filter circuit designed to pass only
frequencies from dc up to the cut off frequency

A typical lowpass lter is formed when the output of an RC circuit is taken off the capacitor. A lowpass
lter can also be formed when the output of an RL circuit is taken off the resistor. There are the other
methods as well
