Goal/Questions :

- Searching about colonization in Cambodia


- When is the period of time that Cambodia colonized by other country?

Summary :

- Colonized by France in 1864


- In 1883, France began to change the structure of Cambodia
- In 1884, France did change concerning at taxation, policing, and the abolish of the
slavery system
- Effect after the change ; the rebel of the peasants
- 40,000 Cambodia moved to Thailand
- 2 years of rebel
- Philipini came and talked to Norodom of Cambodia to end the rebel in January 1887
- In 1887, France establish French Indochina
- In the period of World War II in 1940, Japan armies moved to Vietnam and took over
from France
- In 1941, Japan occupied IndoChina
- In 1945, World War II ended & Japan armies left Cambodia
- King Norodom was the person who got freedom back to Cambodians along with Lao
and Vietnam.

Analysis :

- It was cruel period.


- No freedom
- It connected to nationalism because as I say, there is a rebel by the peasants. It can see
clearly about people who need to be free, assemble as a group and starting to protest
the colonizer to go out from the country.

- Searching about poverty in Cambodia

Summary :

- Cause : Low Education, Overpopulation, Civil War


- Poverty is an effect from the war including low income and consumption, poor
nutritional status, low education, less access to public services.
- Low Education : Parents cannot handle tuition fees & Let their children work instead
- Poverty leads to low medical
- Government did help by decrease the tuition fees.

Analysis :

- Their lives are worse than us.


- I feel pity to these people.

Goal/Question :

- Searching for the poorest province in Cambodia

Summary :

- The poorest province in Cambodia is Preah Vihear. By Comparing the household


poverty rate to other provinces. And from many resources show me that Preah Vihear
is really the poorest province in Cambodia
- Preah Vihear is forest province.
- Preah Vihear is province that near Siem Reap
Analysis :

- At first, I think that Siem Reap is the poorest poverty in Cambodia because Ive been
done the economics project about the life in Cambodia.
- Another reason that I think it is not Preah Vihear because Preah Vihear is the location
of the Preah Vihear temple which is the place that the tourists will go if they go to
Cambodia.

- Start doing the product

Summary :

- According to the information, we decided to do the comics book which shows clearly
about the poverty problems in Cambodia.
- My duty is designing the cover book.

- I think that I am not good art actually


- I prefer to draw by having model more than from my imagination
