In late 2016, Microsoft announced a set of new Azure MOOC courses designed to build partners and
customers Azure knowledge in a self-paced, interactive learning environment. Partners around the
world responded to the new training: over 162,000 of you have enrolled in the courses so far, and
youve earned over 12,000 certificates of completion. Now, almost a year later, the number of partners
enrolling in and consuming the MOOC courses on Open edX keeps climbing. Because the momentum
continues to grow, we are sharing here important news about your discovery point for the MOOCs,
completion dates and upcoming MOOC course retirements. Were also sharing information about new
Azure training available to you for free through Pluralsight read on for details.
Weve built Learning Paths to take you to these new Azure courses; youll find a list of these Learning
Paths below.
How do the new Pluralsight trainings fit into the broader picture of Microsoft Azure training?
Heres the approach we recommend for partners:
1. Start with the Pluralsight courses (see the list below) these will provide you a strong
foundation of practical Azure job skills.
2. Progress to the MOOC courses on Open edX (see the list below) these will give you the
depth skilling needed to fortify your Azure technical acumen.
3. Finally, take the MCP exams to prove your expertise and earn certifications. We have a
discount offer that you can apply to any Microsoft Azure exam, available to partners until March
2018.
Azure Skills training lists (see charts below)
Following are lists of the MOOC courses and new Azure Pluralsight courses available to you here in the
Learning Portal.
The first list shows you the Learning Paths weve built over the past few months that feature
some of the MOOC courses.
The second list gives you the direct links for all the MOOC courses available to you on Open
edX, with direct links to take you straight to the courses.
The third list contains Learning Paths weve built for all the new Azure Pluralsight courses.
Three of the MOOC courses contain outdated material and therefore will be retired before end of 2017.
Look for the text in bold red below, to find the three retiring MOOCs and their scheduled retirement
dates. There are no planned replacements for these courses.
