Experiment No 4: Objective: To Implement A Full Wave Bridge Rectifier

This experiment implements a full-wave bridge rectifier circuit using diodes, a function generator for AC input, an oscilloscope to observe waveforms, and a resistor. The circuit diagram shows how the diodes are arranged in a bridge configuration. Measurements are taken of the input voltage and diode voltage drop at different frequencies. The output across the resistor is observed to be a pulsating DC waveform on the oscilloscope.

EXPERIMENT No 4

Objective: To Implement a Full Wave Bridge Rectifier

Apparatus:
Oscilloscope 01
Function Generator 01
Diodes Silicon 04
Resistor 01
Project Board 01
Circuit Diagram:

D1 D4

AC R
V0

D3 D2

Procedure:

1. Fixed the apparatus on bread board according to the circuit diagram.

2. Connect the input from function generator Connect the out put to the
oscilloscope and observe the wave shapes.
3. During positive half cycle D1 and D2 are forward bias and vice versa. Note the
drop across the diodes.
4. The output across the resistor is pulsating DC.
5. Draw the corresponding waveforms of input and output as shown by the
oscilloscope.
Observations:

1 1.50 0.7 5

2 2.10 0.7 5

3 2.25 0.7 5
