1. From result obtained, discuss about the head losses in different size of pipe.
2. Discuss the graph plotted from your result.

DISCUSSION

For this experiment the objective are to measure the head losses in the different size of pipe. In
this experiment, two different size of diameter for pipes is used which is 20mm and 25mm.
From the data observed, 5 reading of head loss is calculated for each of the pipes. The average
of the head loss is then calculated to conclude that, the bigger diameter of the pipe has the
smaller value of the head loss.

For smaller pipe diameter 20mm has average head loss 0.31396m. While for the bigger
diameter size which is 25mm has 0.2837m of head loss. From the graph plotted it can be
deduced that, from the diameter pipe of 20mm and 25mm it can be said that the decreasing the
height of water level (h1 and h2), will make the head loss value decrease.
