Describe the instructional activities that will occur PRIOR to the SRT activity and how you will
introduce the SRT activity.
I will show the video on information about the properties of matter and changes that occur in
objects. I Will also explain to students the topic through an experiment using ice cube, fire changes
and properties of matter. Since we have BYOD policy, students will use their devices to work on the
assessment and those who did not bring their own devices, I will let them use the computers

Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?

After the Quizlet activity, I will look at the results from the SRT on how the students performed and
use the results to better understand where the student difficulties arose and alter their teaching
accordingly which leads the students towards better understanding of the concept. Also using the
results from the SRT will help on how to plan for my quizzes and lesson plan.
How will the data be used?

The data I have collected as a result of this activity, I will use it to prepare for the main test and also
for me to know if the students have understood the properties of matter and changes that occur in
objects. I will not share the data with the whole classroom, but I will use it as an assessment to know
the areas I need to focus on each student.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. (For example: What are you trying that you
have not tried before? What do you hope to learn from this activity? How do you hope it will help
students learn?)
