Personal response:

Lecture 12
On Monday we learnt about the ethical issues faced
while researching. Ethics are the rules made and
accepted by a society that cannot be forced on anyone
and is absolutely based on ones belief. It helps people
differentiate between good and bad. The first and
foremost ethic of research is to protect rights and
welfare of the research participants. Protecting the
vulnerable ones, making them comfortable, informing
the participants about research and their rights to
withdraw from it at any time, keeping the information of
the participant confidential and anonymous, not
deception to the participants are some of the major
ethics that are to be followed during research. This
lecture was very important one as it made me aware
about the dos and donts of the research which is very
important being a student.
