Type of Sound Diegetic or Non-Diegetic Purpose of Sound

The voiceover to used as the


protagonist vocalises the letter.
This is significant as the audience
will be able to follow with the
Voiceover Non -diegetic narrative.

The sound of the heart monitor is


almost replacing the non diegetic
music as a representation of the
character being brought back to
Breathing monitor Diegetic reality.

The only dialogue in the film will


be between Claire and her best
friend Isabel. It helps further
establish their relationship and
Dialogue Diegetic also give a sense of what Claires
charters used to act.

The soundtrack is mainly used to


set the mood and establish the
gene for the rest of the movie.

Soundtrack 1 Non -diegetic

This sound effect should signify


the end of that chapter in Claires
life but also represent Claires
death as its the end of her story.
Book closing Diegetic
Flat line Diegetic As the audience dont fully see
Claires death, the flat line is
added to signify that.
