PERFORMANCE
* Max Speed. Calculated speed on the basis of engine rpm and axle ratios. Real speed limits must take into account the speed index of the tyres: K = 110 km / h L = 120
km / h M = 130 km / h
** Theoretically calculated values, arising from the engine torque without considering the road-friction values and the stability limits of the vehicles. When calculating with
more than one tyres or more than one axle ratio, availability of each combination must be checked.
Speed and gradeability values are rounded.
A = Total Weights (solo vehicle) Kg - Max Gradeability %
B = Total Weights (vehicle+trailer) Kg - Max Gradeability %

The quality of life on board is essential for anyone who makes long trips. For this reason, all the contents of the vehicle have been designed to make the drivers journey
more comfortable: from the new steering wheel with integrated phone controls, to the IVECONNECT system with CD player, radio hi-fi and touch-screen display
which also runs the Driving Style Evaluation function, the navigation system and advanced telematics services.
On HI-WAY cab the IVECONNECT is integrated into the central stack of the dashboard. It is easily visible and accessible without the driver having to raise ihs back
from the seat, ensuring maximum safety.
The sleeping area features the new Hi-Comfort lower bunk, 80cm wide and over 2m long, with wooden slats, a super comfort 90mm thick mattress and optional a
reclining backrest that allows the bunk to be used as a "chase long" during short stops and rest time. The mattress, in high density foam, is covered with a new dark fabric.
All comfort bunks have a protection net.
Iveco has also incorporated an additional air conditioning system in the roof, which is quiet and energy efficient, and ensures the correct cab temperature is maintained
when the engine is turned off.
In order to maintain its first-rate features in the long term, the cabin of the STRALIS has been treated with a thick cataphoretic coating. Chassis components are protected
by top-of-the-line surface treatments, and as an option, the underside of the chassis can be protected with an anti-abrasive wax coating. All of these changes mean
increased reliability and reduced maintenance costs.
Other features:
STD.: New dashboard / High Quality Trimming / Revised door panels / Revised steering Wheel /Cool box.
OPT.: Fridge 20 litres / Maxi fridge 50 litres / Night time air conditioning.
SAFETY :
TPMS (on cluster): Tyre Pressure Monitoring System is an electronic system which monitors the air pressure inside a tyre and provides information on faults in
real time to the driver. In addition to improving vehicle safety, TPMS helps the driver plan tyre maintenance and contributes to reducing fuel consumption.
ESP: Electronic Stability Program (ESP). The ESP system acts in skidding phase, by adjusting the engine power and braking on individual wheels with different
intensities so as to stabilise the position of the vehicle. It is effective both in case of sudden deviations from the trajectory and in correcting situations of oversteer or
understeer, which may occur in case of incorrectly approaching a bend.
AEBS - Advanced Emergency Braking System : AEBS is a driver assistant system, it shall support the driver to completely avoid rear end impacts or at least
reduce their consequences.
In case of emergency, the System will trigger a warning buzzer and optical icon, it increases braking pressure if required and activate the brakes autonomously up to
maximum AEBS-brake power, when unattended drivers are distracted or felt a sleep.
AEBS system has become standard on almost all commercial vehicles of the on road heavy range - Iveco Stralis - (including ACC und LDWS).
- AEBS Level 1 is mandatory for vehicle registration from 01. Nov. 2015 on specific vehicle categories.
- From 01. Nov. 2018 Level 2 of AEBS with increased brake performance are mandatory for
vehicle registrations.
ACC: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). ACC is an intelligent system that maintains constant cruise speed at the level selected by the driver. It can also detect if the
vehicle gets too close to the vehicle in front. In the event that a safe distance is not maintained, the engine brake, intarder and service brake are activated automatically.
DOWNHILL CRUISE CONTROL GAP: The "Downhill Cruise Control GAP" is an additional functionality of Cruise Control.
LDWS: Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS). The Lane Departure Warning System beeps when the vehicle strays from the lines that mark the driving lane
without the indicators being activated. The system is very effective in preventing accidents due to distraction or sleepiness.
ECOSWITCH: Designed to reduce fuel consumption, ECOSWITCH is an important aid for the driver. It activates the "iEco program" in order to optimise gear
shifting strategy and performance according to actual vehicle weight, assuring the best productivity under any operating condition.
ECOFLEET: ECOFLEET with Eurotronic transmission: a feature that Iveco makes available to fleets, particularly those who operate with multiple driver changeover
(where drivers are not always fully conversant with the vehicle and cannot therefore utilise the vehicle to its full potential in terms of fuel consumption).
In ECOFLEET mode, whilst allowing the driver to shift gear when needed (e.g. when starting up and before and after travelling uphill), manual use of the transmission is
partially inhibited to optimise gear shifts and reduce the possibility of human error.
DSE - Driving Style Evaluation: It is a system aimed at improving the driver performance in terms of fuel consumption and brake use.
DAS - Driving Attention System : This function support the drivers in order to detect drawsiness.
ECO ROLL : On all type of incline (also on moderate one), the eco-roll function serves to open the driveline and retain the kinetic energy of the vehicle for longer or to

slightly increase it by reducing the engine-drag torque that affects the impellers. If the vehicle subsequently slows down, the engine must increase the injected fuel quantity
at a later point.
Driver actions during an active rolling function such as accelerator pedal, brake actuation, changing to manual, or speed range selector actuation lead to the termination of
the rolling function and the closing of the driveline. Depending upon the speed range, the last gear before the rolling phase can be engaged or a new gear can be calculated
and engaged when the rolling function is terminated.
IMPROVEMENTS vs MY2013 :
ECO ROLL works in the range (50km/h ; 92km/h) and is indipendent from Cruise Control setting.
ECO ROLL is standard also for ADR versions.
The Driver can switch off the function via Quick Menu.

BRAKING SYSTEM
EBS - BAS ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL
The electronic brake system (EBS) is standard on all Stralis range and is characterized by the following functions:
ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System),ASR (Anti-skid regulator),DBI (Direct Brake Integration),BAS (Brake Assistant System),BVR (Brake Lining Wear Adjustment)ARB (Hill
Holder)
When the brake is applied, an electronic control unit (EBS) sends the signals to the components that distribute the compressed air to the various circuits. This type of
control permits dividing the braking force between the front and rear axles and the trailer in an optimal manner and suited to the load conditions. In this way, on the one
hand, the braking effect is optimized on all the wheels and, on the other hand, the uniform wear of the linings ensures they have a longer life.,
ABS
The ABS system allows an optimal braking action together with complete control of the vehicle. It prevents locking on each individual wheel when braking regardless of the
grip conditions on the road.It gives the driver a high degree of safety keeping the vehicle stable and on track.

ASR:
The ASR system prevents any undesired slippage of the wheels, both in acceleration and in a curve, especially on an icy or slippery road or off-road.
It prevents slippage of the driving wheels both on pick-up and when cruising. It ensures an optimal grip on a slippery surface. It improves stability especially in a curve with
poor grip.It reduces tire wear.
The driver can modify the parameters of the functions for the ASR system (using the button on the dashboard), which is particularly important for vehicles used off road.
DBI:
The direct brake integration incorporated in the EBS system coordinates and distributes the necessary braking forces between the wheel brakes, engine brake and
Intarder, if applicable. The direct brake integration in the service brake is active after each starting and a few braking maneuvers. Depending on the load conditions, the
engine brake and Intarder are then also activated when braking by pressing the pedal. Upon activation of the ABS control the engine brake and/or Intarder are
automatically disengaged.
BAS:
Assisted braking, or BAS (Brake Assistant System), is a device that generates the maximum available braking power when the pressure applied on the brake pedal is not
sufficient.
If during an emergency braking situation, which is recognized as such due to the speed of pushing down on the braking pedal, the applied pressure is detected as
insufficient for activating the ABS, the BAS would instantaneously increase the pressure to the maximum value possible, maintaining this value also if the driver decreases
pressure on the pedal. This makes it possible to shorten the stopping distance and return within the operating range of the ABS, permitting the latter to perform the
function of preventing the wheels from locking.
FRONT AXLE - Ventilated disc : Diameter 432 (mm) / Braking surface : 784 (cm2) / Brake cylinder diameter : 24 sq inches
REAR AXLE - Ventilated disc : Diameter 432 (mm) / Braking surface : 784 (cm2) / Brake cylinder diameter : 20 sq inches
INNOVATIONS
HI-CRUISE. GPS-PREDICTIVE DRIVING (OPT Code 78878)
GPS-predictive driving is the driving strategy implemented in TraXon with predictive functionality to determine the optimal gear early for any driving situation, according
to the electronic horizon information acquired via GPS by a provider and made available on the CAN bus.The electronic horizon acquires the current location of the
vehicle via GPS and determines the route from topographical street maps (uphill gradient, curves, max permissible speed).GPS-predictive driving is used to improve the
gear shifting and Eco-rolling strategy.
TRAXON provides a Rocking function to have the clucth reating directly to accelerator pedal movements for rocking the vehicle out of a depression in the terrain in low
grip conditions.
When the Rocking mode is activated, it is possible to disengage the clutch immediately by releasing the accelerator pedal, roll back the vehicle and engage the clutch
immediately again by depressing the acceletor pedal.
A dedicated switch to let the driver activate / deactivate the Rocking mode.
A specific indication on the Instrument Cluster to inform when the Rocking function is active ("ROCK" indication in the transmission modes area).
