Reflection 3

The interviewee spoke with their MST, Ms. Emma, about diagnostic assessment. Ms. Emma believes all children should be at the same academic level, so she puts students into groups to assess their individual levels and see how they help each other. The goal of diagnostic assessment is to improve the accuracy of interpreting between sign language and English by collecting student performance data to plan professional development. Diagnostic assessment is important in UAE primary classrooms as it helps teachers understand each student's level and how to teach lessons effectively, which should be used in the future to provide different learning environments and improve student experience and achievement.

Reflection: Diagnostic Assessment Interview

In 2nd October 2017, I did the interview with my MST which is Ms. Emma. The
interview was about diagnostic assessment, so I ask her some questions about this
assessment to see her how teach it for students and how she develop their
students in teaching. Her teaching philosophy is she believe of all the children must
be in the same term. When she teaches the students, she put them in different
groups because she wants to see the levels academic of each one and know how
they help others.
However, Ms. Emma did the diagnostic assessment for the learners and she give
them all the objects to do it. This assessment is providing a detailed performance
analysis that can be used to plan professional development and recruitment. The
overall goal of the diagnostic assessment is to improve the overall feasibility and
accuracy of interpretation between the US sign language and the English language
by collecting student performance data (Diagnostic Assessment, 2016).
The implementation of diagnostic assessment in the UAE primary classroom is very
important to achieve, because it will help the teacher to know the level of each
student in the classroom and learn how to understand the lessons. So, it should be
used in the future because it will provide a different learning environment for
students in schools, and it intended to improve the learners experience and their
level of achievement.
