Sancharnet Outlook Procedure-Bbclass

BSNL will migrate email accounts from the sancharnet.in domain to a new platform starting on October 13, 2014 at 3:00 PM. Users are instructed to login to the new webmail system at mail.bsnl.in using their sancharnet.in username and password. Outlook and mail client users should update their incoming and outgoing server settings. Users experiencing issues logging in should check their password on the old system and contact support for help.

Dear Sir/Madam,

BSNL will migrate the email ids for Sancharnet.in domain on new platform from
Monday 13.10.2014 1500hrs onwards.
So mail users of sancharnet are requested to:-

1. Login at http://mail.bsnl.in/ for webmail, with username as [email protected] &


follow the steps;

2. Outlook/Mail client users should use below settings after migration

Incoming mail server: mail.bsnl.in


Incoming Mail Port: 110
outgoing mail server: smtp.bsnl.in
Outgoing mail Port: 25
User should use username/account name as [email protected]

For accessing mails through Outlook etc. it is compulsory to enable PoP/IMAP, for this
after login go to settings>>Enable PoP & IMAP & follow the instructions.

3. Till migration visit http://oldmail1.bsnl.in/ to access your sancharnet mails

Outlook/Mail client users should use below settings till migration;

Incoming mail server: oldmail.bsnl.in


Incoming mail Port: 110
Outgoing mail server: oldsmtp.bsnl.in
Outgoing mail Port: 25

Username or account name :[email protected] or xyz@ sancharnet.in users are requested to


try both of them

4. In case email login password is not working at http://mail.bsnl.in/ users should


check the password at old platform at http://oldmail1.bsnl.in/

& If it is also not working on old platform too, contact NIB node incharge of your city.

5. Sancharnet users currently accessing with [email protected] mail-id must give


preference, whether they would continue with [email protected] or
[email protected] domain id

Both domain id will not works for single sancharnet account.

Mail your Queries at [email protected] with copy at [email protected]
