Input Data: Material Properties

The document provides material properties, section properties, and loading information for the structural analysis of a building. Concrete has a compressive strength of 4000 psi. Grade 60 steel is used for beams and columns, while Grade 40 is used for stirrups. The column size is 24x24 inches, the beam size is 24x30 inches, and the slab thickness is 7 inches. Loads include a dead load of 0.4 kip/ft^2, a live load of 0.5 kip/ft^2, and a wind speed of 70 mph. The loads combinations generated from the software include combinations for dead load, live load, and wind in both directions.

Input data:

Material properties:

Concrete compressive strength = 4000 psi

Grade 60 steel is used.

Grade 40 bars are used for vertical stirrup bars.

Frame section properties:

Column size = 24*24

Beam size = 24*30

Slab size = 7 inch

Loads:

1-Dead load:

Self weight of the building

Super imposed dead load including weight of vehicle = -0.4 kip/ft2

2-Live load:

Live load is 0.5 kip/ft2

3-Wind load:

Wind speed is 70 mph

Exposure from shell objects and exposure category is B according to UBC97 and also importance
factor is 1.

4-Earth quake load:

As the building is located in low risk area so it can be omitted from the analysis and design.

Loads combination generated from the Staad Pro:
