Notes Names and Colors of Common Salts

This document lists the names, colors, and characteristics of several common gases and colored ions. Some gases listed are chlorine (greenish yellow), sulfur dioxide (burning sulfur smell), ammonia (green flame when burnt in oxygen), and nitric acid (colorless or yellow in sunlight). Colored ions include cupric (blue), chromium (dark green), nickel (green), and permanganate (pink). The document provides a useful reference for differentiating between compounds in chemistry.
