A Conic Section and A Point

This document discusses drawing tangents from a given point to a conic section where five elements (points and tangents) of the conic section are known. It notes that this problem is the dual of another problem, where "point" and "line" are switched between the problems and suitable language changes are made to accommodate the switch.

66. A Conic Section and a Point.

Draw the tangents from a given pont to a conic section of which five elements -
points and tangents - are known.

This is the dual of No. 65, as a quick read of Drrie or Antins translation shows. "Point"
and "line" have been systematically switched, and suitable changes in language have been
made to accomodate the switch.
