Pakistan: Crackdown Against Banned Outfits In Offing
INP report: Decision To Conduct Countrywide Crackdown Against Banned Religious Outfits"
Faisalabad -- Decision has been made to launch countrywide crackdown against banned religious
outfits. Interior Minister has written a letter to the provincial governments and regional police
officers [RPO] in this regard. The sources reported that Interior Ministry has bound the
provincial governments and RPOs to issue directions to keep banned religious organizations
Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Sipah-e-Sahabah, Tehreek-e-Taliban, Lashkar-e-Islam, Tehreekul Hayat,
Jaish-e-Muhammad, Hizbul Tahrir and several others under strict watch. The sources further
reported that Interior Ministry intends to launch a countrywide crackdown against banned
organizations with the help of provincial governments to purge the country from the terrorists at
any cost. Strict action would be taken against the person involved in spreading religion hatred.
