A Search for Something

Isaacs family home.


Late Afternoon.

Isaac is begins to walkthrough his hallway. As he walks past a picture on the wall, he pauses. He
begins to smile yet seems confused at the picture of himself as a child. Stood there, he contemplates.
FLASHBACK

Isaac is sat within an exam hall, for one of his A-Level exams. He seems unfocused and dazed.
FLASH FORWARD to present.

Isaac walks to his living room & throws his bag effortlessly onto the floor. He sits down onto the
nearest sofa to the door. A faint ping of a message is heard as he pulls his phone out from his pocket.
Suddenly the phone is dropped as he begins to gaze at the ceiling. A close-up of his phone shows his
girlfriend Anna has just broken up with him. She doesnt want a long-term relationship whilst at
university.

After a while Isaac carries himself up towards his room. He aggressively pulls out his chair from
next to his desk, & slopes as he sits. With his desk littered with university prospectuses. He places
his head in his hands he contemplates what hell do next.
EARLY NEXT DAY.

Ready for sixth form, Isaac is seen to be leaving his family home. We see him walk towards the
school with multiple CUTS to show his journey. After his journey, Isaac enters the sixth form where
his friends are sat laughing and joking.

He slowly walks over, pulls up a chair, & begins the mountain of work from his bag.

After a short while, one of Isaacs friends Josh notices he looks down & goes over. We hear Josh ask
hey you alright mate?. A conversation develops between the two, surrounding work & their future
plans. Isaac begins to cheer up, as he realises many of his friends have the exact same concerns as
him. Leaving the conversation he seems enlightened to the environment around him.
