Valerio, Aira S.L Iii Edu Earth Science

This document discusses science and the scientific method. It defines science as systematic knowledge gained through observation and experimentation. It then lists five physical sciences: astronomy, earth science, geochemistry, meteorology, and natural sciences. The document goes on to define the scientific method as a method of research that involves identifying a problem, gathering relevant data, formulating a hypothesis, and empirically testing the hypothesis. Finally, it outlines the five steps of the scientific method as asking a question, conducting research, proposing a hypothesis, designing and performing an experiment, analyzing and recording data, and drawing a conclusion.

4.Experiment-Dsign and perform an experiment to test your hypothesis. An experiment has an independent and dependent
variable. You change or control the independent variable and record the effect it has on the dependent variable.

5.Data/Analysis
Record observations and analyze what the data means. Often, you'll prepare a table or graph of the data.

6.Conclusion Confirm whether to accept or reject your hypothesis, Communicate your results.

5. Scientific method can be used in Crimes, Looking for missing person/object , growth of plants, investigatory projects, etc.
