Let A Rmn , B Rnm and suppose that (I + AB)1 exists.

(a) Show that (I + BA)1 exists.


(b) Verify by direct multiplication the following very useful relation called the matrix inversion
lemma:

(Im + AB)1 = Im A(In + BA)1 B

where Ik is the k k identity matrix.
