Observation Task 4

The document discusses the development of early writing skills in students and provides examples of students writing the letter "p". It suggests strategies like using tracing cards and letter stencils to help students form letters correctly. The reflections note that most students hold a pencil properly and write with good handwriting, but some write right to left or don't know how to write words yet due to mental problems. It recommends one-on-one teaching for these students. Suggested strategies are using tracing paper to check skills and having students write words on whiteboards to assess progress.

Reflections on Observation Task 4: Development of Early Writing Skills

1. What are developmental writing stages the majority of the students in?

-The majority of the student is in a good stage in writing, they hold the pencil
properly and they write in a good hand writing but some of them they write
for example instead of writing their names in English from left to write, they
write their names from right to left and the rest of the students they still dont
know how to write a word but they know how to write letter's because they
have mental problem that's why they still dont know how to write a word.
These students need one on one teaching so that they can develop their
writing and to know how to write a word.

2. Describe and explain two (2) suggested strategies that the teacher can use to
help the majority of the students within their developmental writing stage.
- The teacher prepare for the students some tracing paper to check each
student knowledge and make sure that all the students learn and they
are all in the same level.
- The teacher gives each student small white board to write down the
word '' Panda'' and she turn around and see each student hand writing
and she see the student progress.
