Dhaanish Ahmed Institute of Technology: Syllabus Coverage Daily Test Review Form

The document is a syllabus coverage daily test review form for the subject Fluid Mechanics and Machinery for a student named R. Chandraprakash. It indicates the topics covered in week 2 from July 7th to 13th included properties of fluids and flow characteristics. Part A of the test covered definitions of key fluid mechanics terms. Part B included two problems, the first calculating viscosity of a fluid between rotating cylinders, the second calculating the force to drag a plate through glycerin between two surfaces.

inner cylinder at 100 rpm. Determine the viscosity of the fluid
Two large plane surfaces are 2.4 cm apart. the space between the surfaces are filled with
glycerin .what force is required to drag a very thin plate of surface area 0.5 m2 between the
two large plane surfaces at a speed of 0.6 m/s, if:(i)the thin plate is in the middle of the two
