Standard Operating Procedure:

Daily Maintenance

1. All equipment breakdowns will be reported to the Warehouse


Supervisor/designate either verbally if it is urgent or through the written
communication.

2. Warehouse Supervisor will try to repair equipment in house failing to do that, an


outside repair and maintenance personnel will be called to analyze and fix the
problem to ensure the safe and smooth running operation of the equipment. If
problems cannot be fixed immediately to ensure safe operation, then
maintenance personnel will follow lockout procedures.

3. The problem and repairs done will be recorded, dated and signed on the Repair
and Maintenance Log form.

4. The Repair and Maintenance Log is filed in the Warehouse Supervisor office.

Wash-up of Repaired Equipment

1. If equipment is removed from the production area for repairs, it is washed and
sanitized by production personnel outside the production area to avoid cross-
contamination.

2. A tag stating Wash Before Use will be put on the equipment before sending it
back to the production area.

3. Personnel in the production area receiving the equipment shall re-rinse and
sanitize the equipment before using and return the wash before use tag back to
HACCP Coordinator.

4. Contracted repair and maintenance personnel shall also wipe down the tools that
were used to repair one piece of equipment before entering another production
area or to repair another piece of equipment.
