SOFTWARE ENGINEER - ASSOCIATE

This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to join a professional and dynamic team to
develop, implement and maintain investment-related software.

Responsibilities

Working closely with agile project team to prototype, develop and implement
solutions.
Support the delivery of initiatives using cutting edge techniques and technologies.
Analyse and understand from a holistic perspective business needs, mutual
interdependencies, risk and benefits to propose the best solutions.
Conduct detailed system design and effectively utilize additional resources as
made available.
Identify, manage and escalate changes to the project manager for scope,
schedule, and costs. Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and
between projects or functional areas.
Working in cross functional teams to create and develop innovative data driven
solutions.
Manage and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements

With 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in Technology development and


implementing solutions, of which recent records in fund management or finance
industries.
Possess a good Honors degree preferably from a reputable university in
Information Technology or equivalent.
Proven experience with both traditional waterfall as well as AGILE/Adaptive
project methodologies.
Good team player who is keen to learn, independent, and with strong analytical,
communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge in data warehouse concepts and experience of ETL (Extract,
Transform and Load) environments.
Good to have hands-on development skills with Python, R and Excel VBA.
Rapid Prototyping skills to quickly translate ideas into solutions.
Adept in the use of third-party visualization tools.
Requires hands on technical skills include C#/.NET, SQL server, SQL SSIS/stored
procedures, web development, Java/J2EE and desktop programming (Excel).
