The oak tree is also very significant for its medicinal properties and ties to ancestors. "Ki mule ti rinrin Orisa ki mule ti" refers to the Rinrin herb's ability to thrive wherever it is planted. "Peregun alawo tuntun" speaks of renewal and receiving new blessings with each coming year, like the changing colors of the Peregun plant.     EWES

    Ewe Ofa (Yoruba), also called Alamo is an herb very sacred to Sango. Its name comes from its
    shape. Hence ofa-"arrow".

    The oak tree is a very sacred tree to new Afrikans for medicinal and historical reasons. This tree
    stands for ancestors, prosperity, will, stamina and fertility.

    Ki mule ti rinrin Orisa ki mule ti---The Rinrin herb never fails to take over the ground.

    Peregun alawo tuntun To ba d'modun wo tuntun wo. Peregun the one with new colors. When the
    year comes I will have my new colors

    Ewe iyeye igba ni. Ewe iyeye that grows in hundreds!.

    Etiponla lai fa ruru ire gbogbo. We have used etiponla to pull all blessings.
