with black sesame seeds and water except during Mahalaya Paksha
when, one is required to perform a regular Sraaddha also along with
Thila Tharapna as per the laid down procedure. It is said that by
performing Shannavathi sraaddha, Pithrus gets pleased for 2000
years.

forefathers during Parvakaala viz. on Eclipse (Grahana) days (Surya
and Chandra Grahana); on the days of Uttaraayana and
Dakshinaayana; on the days of Ardhodhaya and Mahodaya. One has
to refer to the Panchanga to know the exact days of their
occurrence.

OM TAT SAT!!!!
Om: Brahma or Almighty God
Bhuh: embodiment of vital spiritual energy (Pran)
bhuvah: destroyer of sufferings
swah: embodiment of happiness
tat: that
savitur: bright, luminous like the Sun
varenyam: best, most exalted
bhargo: destroyer of sins
devasya: divine
dhimahi: may imbibe
dhiyo: intellect
yo: who
nah: our
prachodayat: may inspire
General meaning: We meditate on that most adored Supreme Lord, the creator, whose
effulgence (divine light) illumines all realms (physical, mental and spiritual). May this
divine light illumine our intellect.
Word meaning: Om: The primeval sound; Bhur: the physical body/physical realm;
Bhuvah: the life force/the mental realm Suvah: the soul/spiritual realm; Tat: That (God);
Savitur: the Sun, Creator (source of all life); Vareyam: adore; Bhargo: effulgence (divine
light); Devasya: supreme Lord; Dhmahi: meditate; Dhiyo: the intellect; Yo: May this light;
Nah: our; Prachodayt: illumine/inspire.
The table below will illustrate this relationship better
After i learnt varma i correlated and found some analogies. I thought of sharing it with the group
madhava, govinda jus below the posterior corner of eye natchathira kalam
clears eye problem and strengthens lacrimal glands for continuous exposure to smoke
For example:
Kesava Nama represents Avyaktha tatva, Narayana Nama represents Mahatatva, Madhava
Nama represents Ahankara tatva, and Govindanama represents Manotatvam.
Remaining twenty names represents Pancha Gnanendriyas (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and
skin), Pancha karmendriyas, (hands, legs, speech, and two excretory organs), Pancha
Pranas (prana, apana, vyana, udana, and samana) and Pancha Bhoothas (sky, water, fire,
air, and earth).
It is said that the first three names Kesava, Narayana, Madhava are tapatraya nivarakas.
It is also said that these 24 names also represents 24 letters of Gayathri Manthra called
Beejaksharas that have influence on the human body.
For performing any Kriya one should have Anthhakarana Suddhi (Inner purity) that is
possible only by praying the God by reciting the divine names (manthras) and the process
of Aachamanam is only meant for that purpose. By reciting 21 names a person is getting
purified bodily and by reciting three names he is getting purified internally.
Reciting these names of Supreme God is the link for devotion as it cleanses the inner body
of the human being that helps in attaining quick results. The name of God is so powerful
that it has the capacity to vanquish any sins and desires.

Now about
'Dhiyo Yo Nah
Prachodayat'.
Para or the
Supreme is the
Imperishable
Siva Himself,
the Eternal
Soul. The
underlying
meaning here
is this: We
should
meditate on
the immobile
form of Lakara
or Jyotirlinga
or Lord Siva
which is the
most supreme
thing that ever
exists
anywhere.
Here, there is
no desire for
any Dhyana
whatsoever. It
is beyond all
Dhyanas.
Therefore, we
are requesting
the Lord to
direct our
minds to be
established in
that Nirvikalpa
State where
there is no
thinking at all.
This request
should not be
made through
the mouth. It
should be
simply thought
of in the mind.
Then 'Paro
Rajase
Savadom'.
After
meditating on
the form of the
Supreme
Truth, there will
come out a big
effulgence,
pure and
blissful, full of
knowledge
which is
residing inside
the heart. This
is the essence
of all speech
and
Knowledge.
This is the true
Sakti. And this
is called the
Panchakshara,
since it is the
creator of the
Pancha Bhutas
or the five
elements. This
should be
understood
correctly by the
intelligent.
0
This is the
Vidya giving all
desires to the
devotee. Thus,
after
understanding
in its true
aspect, this
Vidya of
thirtytwo
letters, the
devotee
Should think of
the letter called
'Ha' which is
the form of
Siva, who is
the
Imperishable,
pure State.
The letter
derived out of
the
combination of
the sun and
the moon, that
is, the
combination of
Siva and Sakti
is 'Ha' and it is
also named as
'Hamsa'. This
is the seed of
Kama.
Through this
Vidya, we can
know the
Supreme Lord
Siva. This
combination is
also
understood as
being the
merging of the
Jivatma in the
Supreme
Paramatman.
Thus 'Ha'
means the
Eternal Stage
or the Final
Emancipation.
This is the
derivation of
the Sri Vidya.
One who
knows this,
attains the
form of Rudra.
He bursts open
the residence
of Vishnu and
reaches the
Para-Brahman.
Thus we can
understand
that the Tripura
Tapini
Upanishad
directly points
to the Para
Brahman, the
Mantra words
of the Gayatri.
