The project encompasses a 57,000 square foot open space and the new urban meadow is comprised of a raised
bed of lawn that spans 400 feet and is bordered by a seat wall that will engage the local community with the
space. The meadow is punctuated on the eastern side by a planting bed featuring native species that will

Dropbox's new home received LEED Platinum certification; focusing on effectiveness and quality with a design that
allows ample natural light and 100% outside air. Integrated photovoltaics on the roof supply a portion of the building's
energy needs and are expected to reduce energy usage by 26% . On-site water capture and reuse reduces potable water
demand by an expected 45%, and landscaped courtyards are planted with native drought-resistant species. An extensive
living roof and porous paving contribute to water-friendly landscape design.

Planting design for the project considered proposed slope, aspect, soil hydrology and microclimate to correspond to
appropriate biological communities. Rana Creek Nursery cultivated 100,000 container plants, 7,000 live willow
stakes, and used locally collected seed mixes for planting. Designed a temporary irrigation system which considered
local climatic and evapotranspiration data, soils, flood elevations, and anticipated water demand for establishment.
