Abstract
The system is a customization website with ordering system for the well-known
cake shop Sweet Thumbs Cakes and Cupcakes. The cake shop offers great looking cakes
with delicious taste. However, the proponents figured out that the customization and the
transaction still has potential for improvements that may result for better customers
service.
That is why the proponents came up with the idea of developing an effective,
efficient, accurate, fast, and reliable customization with ordering system. The system
aims to expand customer's choices of design, to provide customization tool for customers
and visual representation of cake designs, and to provide efficient, reliable, and effective
transaction method such as money transfers.
In the methodology of research, the proponents made use of descriptive research

where the researchers gathered necessary data from survey questionnaires which were
analyzed and interpreted. The respondents for the conducted surveys were the customers
of Sweet Thumbs Cakes and Cupcakes. The proponents surveyed one hundred customers
in the locale and twenty customers online. The proponents drew eighty responses from
the 100 surveys in the locale then added the twenty online responses to complete the one
hundred responses. The one hundred responses then were analyzed, interpreted, and
made use as primary source of data. In the development of the system, the proponents
developed a plan on how to start our data gathering for the information that is needed for
the development of the system. After the data gathering, the proponents analyzed the
gathered data and designed the features for the system that can solve the problems of
their existing. After the designing the features, the proponents then started the
development of the modules of the system.
The programming language used in system are HTML and PHP (Hypertext
Preprocessor). Also, the proponents made used JavaScript to manipulate graphics and
designs for the cake customization, CSS and bootstrap for the layout and design of the
website, and sql as the database management server with the use of Xampp.

First of all, we want to thank God for his guidance and mercy for in conducting the
research. He gave us strength and courage to all the struggles and trials that we have
encountered.
We want to thank our families for their unconditional love and support for
providing us our needs that gave us motivation to pursue and finish the study.
We also would like to give our deepest gratitude to our technical adviser Mr. Philip
Doctor and our academic adviser and also our grammarian Ms. Veata Monina Santos.
They guide and helped us in the study. Even sometimes we are giving them
disappointments, at the end of the day, they will still help us because we know that they
also would like us to succeed in this research.
We also thanks Mr. Arnold and Mrs. Joyce Dela Pena for their cooperation and
allowing us to make their cake shop; Sweet Thumbs Cakes and Cupcakes, as our locale
for the study.
We also give our deepest gratitude to Ms. Nadine Muriel Alibutod, Mr. Joel
Quiambao, and Mr. Angelito Quito for sharing us their expertise that helped us in the
development of this system and also for their advices and encouragement to succeed this
study.
