TITLE A Real time embedded system application for Gps based alert system for
Blind people by using stick.

ABSTRACT Visually impaired people find difficulties detecting obstacles in front Of them,during walking on
the street,which makes it dangerous. The smart stick comes as a proposed solution to enable

them to identify the world round.In this project GPS technology is integrated with pre-

programmed location to determine the optimal rules to be taken.The user can choose the

location from the set of destination stored in the memory and will lead in the correct

direction of the stick.The overall aim of the device is to provide the convenient and safe
method for the blind to overcome their difficulties in daily life.
RESOURCES REQUIRED
The hardware requirements are; Respberri-pi board, Arduino UNO, GSM

Module,etc and google cloud platform.In the programming languages for Rasberry pi and Aduino uno.

PRE-REQUISITE SKILLS General understanding of the architecture of hardware used (i.e. Respberri-pi
and Arduino UNO), the basic programming languages, interfacing hardware and calibration of data gets from the
sensor in accordance to the proposed method.
