Q: I have not received the offer letter, but I had received the 1Cogniaznt welcome mailer and have
completed all onboarding formalities in 1C, can I report for joining?
A: The offer letters are mailed to the registered mail id. Check the mail box including junk and spam mail
box. If you are still not able to find the offer letter, you can report to the venue for joining with all requisite
documents and onboarding pass.
Q: Can I have the tentative date of Joining? My offer letter does not have a DOJ.
A: Please be informed that the DOJ will be given based on business requirement; hence we will not be
able to assure you on the DOJ details now. DOJ information would not be available in the offer letter.
Q: When can I expect the Call Letter/DOJ? Some of my friends have received the DOJ.
A: We are onboarding campus recruits in batches, based on business requirements. We request you to be
patient and await formal communication from us. We will most certainly send you an email once the
joining date and location is confirmed.
Q: I have been asked to accept the offer, fill 1C forms and upload documents in BGV Portal within 7 days.
But I havent yet received/applied for the documents yet. What can I do?
A: Its the responsibility of every recruit to have all documents ready, as it has been informed prior to the
recruitment process. It is mandatory for the documents to be uploaded in BGV Portal within the given
timeline. In case there are genuine reasons for the documents not being available, please intimate us via
the C2C Portal.
Q: I am not able to login to the One Cognizant (1C) Portal/ Im not able to fill the forms in the 1C portal.
A: Kindly share the screenshot of the error message and raise a query in the C2C Portal.
Q: I have uploaded my photo in One Cognizant portal, but it is pending for quite some time.
A: Our Admin Team is in the process of approving your picture for your permanent ID card. Please be
informed that photo upload is mandatory, and photo approval process would not impact your DOJ.
Q: I have uploaded the photo in the Portal but it has been rejected/ how do I upload my photo in 1C portal
as it has been rejected.
A: We would like to inform you that, the photo in 1C portal can be updated only once. You can submit
high resolution passport size photo at the time of joining. Please bring a photograph with blue or white
background with neat formal attire
Q: I have an arrear during the assigned date of joining. Can I report for joining?
A: As mentioned during the recruitment process, the candidate should not have any arrears and meet all
the eligibility criteria at the time of joining. If the candidates have arrear or percentage less than their
eligible % at the time of joining, the candidates offer will be invalid.
Q: I have received my Date of joining, but my final semester exams are not yet completed. Should I report
for joining?
A: The candidates are invited based on the confirmation from their college about their exam completion.
So we will not be able to accommodate any such requests unless there is a mail confirmation from the
college placement officer that the university exams are still not completed. This is not applicable for
candidates who are awaiting re-evaluation exams or results.
Q: I have completed my pre-joining formalities and also completed my E-learning modules, but I havent
got my Call letter yet.
A: Please be informed that the DOJ will be given based on business requirement, hence kindly wait for
future mails.
Q: I was sent back during my date of joining due to absence of mandatory documents. When will I get my
next DOJ?
A: If a candidate is sent back, we will invite them in the next batch (may or may not be the immediate
batch) based on business demands.
Q: What is a provisional certificate? How do I get it?
A: A certificate stating that a student has successfully completed the courses of studies prescribed under
the rules and regulations and has qualified for award of the degree in his/her discipline is called a
provisional degree certificate. Please apply and get the same from your institution.
Q: When I register for NSR it is asking for offer ID/Job Id or any reference number. Please give me the
offer ID.
A: Offer ID is your candidate ID. Candidate ID is the unique ID which you have written at the time of test
process and it is available in your offer letter.
Q: My name in the offer letter has a spelling mistake or missing details. How do I get another updated
copy?
A: The details (Name, degree, branch, college name) in the offer letter are the same as entered by you
during Cognizant test registration. Hence it cannot be corrected now, however on the date of joining, the
details can be updated by submitting valid proof of identification.
1. Being a future IT professional, flexibility with respect to location, skill, domain & work duration
is the minimum expectation for every Cognizant recruits.
2. The offer is valid only if you qualify to complete the education with eligible % or equivalent CGPA
(without rounding off) as per the respective university norms.
3. Details provided in registration forms, if found mismatching the actuals on the date of joining; the
offer letter wouldnt be valid.
4. Maintain the mobile number and email ID shared during the recruitment in active status till you
join Cognizant as all the correspondence henceforth would be through this contact details.
