    Genre research for action


    The short film I will be making my movie on will be an action movie. This genre has certain
    codes and conventions. For example explosions, car cases and gun fights etc. the usual plot
    for action films lie where the protagonist/s goes on a series of challenges that include
    fighting, violence etc., which ends up in a victory for the protagonist and s/he defeats the
    antagonist. The films usually involve very tense and heart pumping scenes, which leave the
    audience focussed on the film. This genre has usually uses music with a drop and high
    suspense fell to it so it would match the scene in hand. Our film is going to involve a lot of
    violence and fighting scenes a movie within this genre that also has this violence scheme is
    the taken series of movies. The first movie which was made in 2008. The main plot of the
    film was that the main protagonist who goes by the name Liam Neeson who is a former
    government operative, who wants try to get back into contact with his daughter, but during
    this process his close female and daughter are abducted by sex slaves, no he must go on his
    own to try and retrieve his daughter and friend. Other famous names with in this genre are
    die hard, the terminator and man more.
    Within this genre there are a few sub genres such as
    Action thriller- these two are quite similar in the way that they both are supposed to keep
    the viewer on the edge of their seat and keep he viewer tense. These type of films have
    one big climax and many plot twists. Usual plots are that they have a villain which the
    protagonist needs to defeat but has t come over many obstacles during this process.
    Action comedy- this genre uses the tense and exhilarating scenes of an action movie and
    submerges it with a comedic scenes. Actors such as Eddie Murphy are great examples of
    actor that are commonly in action comedy movies. Examples of action movies are big
    momma and dumb and dumber
