your wish.

The following is part of the Barna study (available on our website) and I believe is an
interesting trend in looking at prospective families that may be interested in coming
to MVCA.

Christian Values: Most prospective parents do not have as strong of a convic-
tion about teaching Christian values at school with only 29% stating they
are very important.
Strong Values/Principles was the most commonly chosen desired educational
outcome for the top 5 (53%) for prospective parents
Spiritual formation is highly valued at MVCA by board, staff, families and students
so this would be a disconnect from perspective families looking at MVCA. We won't
change our mission but this will be reflected in new families applying here. If this
study interests you, please look deeper into it at the ACSI tab on our website.

Raising up Servant Leaders

The second part of our mission at MVCA is to prepare servants to be life-long servant leaders. So once a month we will be doing
community service. On Monday all of the 7-12th graders went out and helped a YWAM missionary couple cut down trees and chop
firewood and clean up their property. Due to severe health issues, they had been unable to get their firewood for the winter and re-
ally appreciated our help. It was a joy to watch all of your children work so hard. The gentlemen said we accomplished three times
more than he thought we would. The couple now has their firewood for the winter and their property is cleaned up. Thanks to all of
you who participated. My hope is that while the students are out there they catch the joy of serving others and helping others.
1 Peter 4:10-Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of Gods grace in its various
forms.
