Passively Sweet Pet
Ever since I was a child, I am really fascinated with cats and
I always feel relaxed having them near me. A cat is a domestic
mammal that is furry and often classified as a companion animal. It
usually stays at peoples home and people have them as their pets.
Cats are solitary. However their social capability ranges
from the cats that are dispersed from everyone and want to be
alone to cats that are in colonies which hunt for food source, which
are often females. However, most cats have poor social skills. They
tend to be aggressive when there is/are newly arrived cat/s at
home. Aggression includes biting, scratching and other violent
actions towards the newly arrived cat.
Female cats have many seasons of heat that starts in spring and ends in late autumn. Several
male cats get attracted to a female in heat. I could say that the competition is intense because the males
will fight over the female and the one who won brings home the female cat. After mating the female
grooms herself and when a male tries to mate with her in this period, she will attack. However, when
the female cats grooming is finished, the heat cycle repeats.
Cats maybe aggressive and sometimes passive but what made me like them is the calmness they
try to show every one despite everything that happens in its environment. It always tries not to panic in
situations. It may have its bad sides but I still like them, also because of their sweetness to humans
especially when they rub their body on my legs or follow me when I walk. I feel like I am important in
that sense.
We may not think that cats are not that important; but always remember, that cats kill the rats.
