GUIDELINES FOR 6TH SEMESTER INTERNSHIP OF UG STUDENTS:

I. Allocation

a. Efforts for allocating of students for training purpose should start in the beginning
of 5th semester.
b. The institute should put in efforts to increase the placements of students for
training purpose upto 72-80%.
c. The students who are arranging their own training should give the confirmation at
least two months before the start of the training.
d. Institute should also tie-up with TPO offices and departments of other renowned
academic institutes and also look for placing students for training purpose in
various PSUs like PWD, Electricity Board, irrigation, BHEL etc.
e. The option of paid internships in renowned companies may also be explored.

II. Monitoring:
a. The institute may ask the companies to allocate mentors to the students so that
they can interact with each other before joining the internship and do ground work
to make is more effective.
b. The institute should also maintain a database of all mentors.
c. The visit of faculty coordinators to the industries may not be necessary Skype
interaction can be done by the faculty with the student and mentors But if faculty is
interested in visiting the companies/ institute, they can visit and interact with the
institution head also and not just with the mentors.
III. Evaluation:

Evaluation will be done as follows:-
