Limitations Optimal application temperature : between 5 C and 35 C
Safety precautions Protect skin and eyes from contact with mortar. Wear protective clothing
Layer thickness per application : Max. 20 mm. and goggles while working with the product.Should the material enter the
eyes rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention.
Material consumption For 1 litre of fresh mortar. 1.46 kg of powder is required.
Material consumption depends on concrete surface and application method. Toxicity Non-toxic
On a level substrate consumption is approx. 14.5-14.8 kg of dry mortar (powder)
per m2 at 10 mm layer thickness. Transport Non-hazardous.
Substrate Preparation Substrate must be sound, free of loose or weak particles, dust and dirt. Oil and
wax containing layers, as well as laitance must be completely removed.
The substrate must be throughly wetted down prior to the mortar application.
Fill sufficient clean water into a small container. Add SikaRep S to the wat
and hand mix thoroughly with a spatula until a smooth workable consist-
ency is achieved. Always respect the water/powder ratio.
If a mix has thickened due to delayed application do not dilute further with water.
For large repair, a mechanical mixing (of the whole bag) using a drill and a paddle is
advisable. Pour water in given quantity in a clean drum and add SikaRep S
slowly while mixing. Use a low speed electric mixer for 3 minutes avoiding entrapped
Follow the ratio 4.7 to 5.3 Ltr. of water per bag 20 kg
Curing - SikaRep S cures with low shrinkage. To prevent premature drying out of
the mortar, keep it moist if exposed to strong sunshine and wind.
- Standard curing methods are recommended.
Cleaning Application and mixing tools should be cleaned with water while material is
still fresh. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
