River Discharge Measurement

The document describes two methods for measuring discharge in a river: 1. The Velocity-Area Mid Section Method which involves measuring the velocity and cross-sectional area at different points across the river to calculate discharge. Using this method, the discharge was calculated to be 19.928 m3/s. 2. The Velocity-Area Mean Section Method which also involves measuring velocity and area but calculates the mean velocity between points. Using 6 points of measurement, the total discharge was calculated to be 1.100 m3/s.

DISCHARGE MEASUREMENT

1. Discharge Computation by Velocity Area Mid Section Method
