Paper I: Research Methodology (M Phil /PHD) : Paper Ii: Specialized Paper

Unit 1 provides an introduction to research methodology, including selecting topics, finding research material, impact factors, citations, funding sources, and writing skills. Unit 2 covers essential mathematical analysis topics such as sequences, series, integrals, complex analysis, and functional analysis. Unit 3 focuses on developing numerical computing skills in MATLAB/Mathematica to solve problems involving linear algebra, nonlinear equations, matrices, data analysis, and differential equations. Unit 4 introduces statistical measures, distributions, estimation, decision theory, and correlation. Paper II involves reviewing published work in the candidate's field as prescribed by their department's Board of Studies.
