Precautions:
1. Priortothesysteminstallation,carefullyreadthedetailedstepsinthistutorial
2. ThistutorialismeantfortheinstallationonadualbootBIOSsystem
3. Theinstallationwillerasealldataonthedisk,pleasebackupimportantdatain
advance
4. Theinstallationprocesstakesapproximately3040minutes.Priortotheinstallation
youhavetoensurethebatteryofthetabletisfullycharged.Itisalsorecommended
toensurethetabletisconnectedtoapowersourceduringtheinstallation,preferably
ataexternallypoweredUSBhub.
5. Theinstallationprocessisdividedintotwoparts,theAndroidinstallationand
Windowsinstallation.Eachpartcanbedoneseparatelydependingonyourneeds.
YoucanreinstalltheWindowspartitionwithouttheneedtoerasetheAndroid
partitionfirst.
However,theAndroidrecoveryinstallationwillalsoerasetheWindowspartitions.Be
carefultochoosethecorrectinstallationtype!

Preparation:
1. GototheTeclastofficialwebsite,enterthemachineIDfoundatthebackshellofthe
tablet,anddownloadthecorrespondingflashtoolsandsystempackageand
uncompressit.
2. DownloadthelatestflashtoolsfromIntel:

3. HaveaUSBkeyboardbyhand,otherwiseitwillbehardtonavigateinsidetheBIOS
4. HavetwoormoreUSBflashdriveswithatleastonehavingacapacityof16GBby
hand
5. HaveaexternallypoweredUSBHUBbyhand

InstallationoftheAndroidfirmware
1. InstalltheAndroidflashtoolinthefollowingorder:
a. UncompressandinstallIntelAndroidDrvSetup1.10.0.zip
b. UncompressandinstallIntelPlatformFlashToolLite5.5.2

2. UpdateinstallationAndroidwithouterasingWindows
(Note:theupdaterespectivelyupgradeprocessclearsAndroidsystemsettingsand
files,similartoanOTAupgrade.Thus,somepartswillnotbeaffectedbythe
process.Thus,afterflashingthesystem,itisrecommendedtoperformafactory
reset.)
2.1. Run"PhoneFlashTool",thenclickonthe"Browser"buttoninthefile
selectionpopupwindow,locatetheunzippedfirmwareprogramdirectory,
selectthefile"flash.json"toopen..

2.2. Afterchoosingthe"flash.json"file,changethe"Configuration"optionto
"update",asshownbelow.

2.5. Click"StarttoFlash"buttontostartthefirmwareprogramming.

2.6. Theupgradeprogressisshown.Thetimefortheentireupgradeprocesswill
takelonger,sopleasebepatientanddonotdisconnectorturnoffthesystem.

2.7. Waituntilprogressbarreaches100%.Aftertheupgradewassuccessful,the
tabletwillrestartautomatically.Disconnectthetabletfromthecomputerand
closetheupgradetool.

2.8. Note:theupdaterespectivelyupgradeprocessclearsAndroidsystem
settingsandfiles,similartoanOTAupgrade.Thus,somepartswillnotbe

affectedbytheprocess.Thus,afterflashingthesystem,weneedtodoa
factoryreset.Openthe"Settings>BackupandReset>Restorefactory
settings>Restoretabletmemoryfactorysettings",asshownbelow.

3. RecoveryinstallationoftheAndroidsystem
(Note:thismethodwillerasealldataonyourdevice,i.e.WindowsandAndroidwill
beerased)
3.1. Run"PhoneFlashTool",thenclickonthe"Browser"buttoninthefile
selectionpopupwindow,locatetheunzippedfirmwareprogramdirectory,
selectthefile"flash.json"toopen.

3.2. Afterchoosingthe"flash.json"file,changethe"Configuration"optionto
"recover",asshownbelow

3.3. BoottheTabletPCintotheAndroidsystem.ThenshutdowntheAndroid
systemandrestartthetabletwhileholdingdown"powerbutton+volumeup+
volumedown"(alternativelythepowerbutton+volumedown)andrelease
when"DNXFASTBOOTMODE..."appears,asshownbelow.

3.4. WithaUSBcableconnectthetablettothecomputer,ifalreadydone.The
computerwilldetectandinstallthedevicedriver.Ifsuccessful,theupgrade
toolwillshowthedevicebeingconnectedwitha"StarttoFlash,asshown

3.5. Click"StarttoFlash"buttontostartthefirmwareprogramming.

FlashtheWindowssystem

1. CreateabootableUSBflashdiskwithWinPEdiskimagesandfiles:
1.1. InserttheUSBdiskintothecomputer,rightclicktheUSBdisk,inthepopup
menu,select"Format"

1.2. Inthepopupmenuintheformat,"label"ischangedto"WINPE",as"File
System"selectFAT32,clickon"Start"

1.3. Whenformattedsuccessfullydecompressthedownloaded"WinPE(user).rar"
archive,andcopythecontentofthefolderWinPE(user)undertheroot
directorytotheUSBdisk(WINPE),asshowninthefollowingfigure.

1.4. ThencreateanotherUSBdisk,labelthediskwiththename"images",and
selectNTFSasthefilesystem"NTFS"format.Thenextractthefilesofthe
downloadedWin10_imagesandcopytheentireimagestothisrootdirectory
ofUSBdisk.
2. ForaTabletPCbeingpreparedasdualbootsystem,dothefollowingtoinstall
Windows:
2.1. Ifthetabletisadualsystem(OSbootselectionscreenpresentboththe
AndroidandtheWindowslogoatthesametime),butyouneedtoreinstallthe
Windowssystem.
Pressthetablet'spowerbutton35secondstoboot,whentheOSselection
screenappears,selecttheWindowslogoandselect"OK"toenterthe
Windowssystem,asshownbelow:

2.2. AftersuccessfulbootintotheWindowssystem,shutthemachinedown.

2.3. Withthemachineshutoff,connectyourtabletwiththeUSBOTGcablewith
theUSBHUB,towhichthe2USBdisksandtheUSBkeyboardare
connected.
2.4. Shortpressthepowerbuttonagainfor35secondstoboot.Whenthescreen
displaytheTeclastLOGO,immediatelypressthe"Delete"/ESCkeyonthe
keyboardtoentertheBIOSsetup,asshownbelow.

2.5. Jumpwiththeleftandrightarrowkeysto"Save&Exit",asshownbelow.

2.6. Withthekeyboardupanddownarrowkeys,selectthecorrespondingUSB
diskdevicein"BootOverride"(SometimetheUSBdisksappearwiththe

samename),PresstheEnterkeytobootfromtheselectedUSBdiskfirst.

2.7. ThetabletbootsfromtheselectedUSBdiskandthemachinewill
automaticallystartcopyingtheWindowssystemandtoinstallthesystem
files,asshownbelow.

2.8. Afterthetransferofthesystemiscompleted,themachinewillrestartfrom
automaticallyintotheWindowssystemandtheinstallationwizardwillaskfor
therelevantinformationbeforethesystemcanbeused.(Note:Copyingthe
systemtakesalongtime,pleasebepatient)
3. IfthetabletAndroidasasingleoperatingsystem,dothefollowingtoinstall
Windows
3.1. IfthetabletisasingleAndroidsystem,thatis,whenyouflashtheAndroid
firmwareinrecoverymode,theOSbootselectioninterfaceshowsonlythe

Androidlogo,asshownbelow.

3.2. Withthemachineshutoff,connectyourtabletwiththeUSBOTGcablewith
theUSBHUB,towhichthe2USBdisksandtheUSBkeyboardare
connected.
3.3. Shortpressthepowerbuttonagainfor35secondstoboot.Whenthescreen
displaytheTeclastLOGO,immediatelypressthe"Delete"/ESCkeyonthe
