Sinfonia from Cantata BWV 212

(The Peasant Cantata)

Arranger's note: This arrangement derives mainly from the violin part of the cantata, transposed up a
fifth. Arranged for solo instrument it has the flavour of one of Telemann's multi-partite fantasias. The slurs,
articulation and expression marks are mostly mine. The player is referred to the original for details of
Bach's bowing marks etc. I have added a selection ornaments and metronome marks to give an idea
of how the piece might be played.
