The red dashed line indicates the pass or pitch of the football.
The arrow on the end of the red line indicates the direction of the pass/pitch.
A route instructs the player to provide a screen/non contact block on the defense player

When to Use: this defense works well when the offense is spread out,
throwing short passes, and running a lot.

The rushers should rush outside in and keep the quarter back in the middle of the
field. The corner backs do not let anyone get behind them in their zone, as they
are responsible for the deep routes along with the safety.

When to Use: this defense works well when the offense is throwing deeper
routes and is not running the ball often.

field. The two safeties are responsible for any deep route. This defense not
designed to have a three man blitz.
