Unit Conversions With Conversion Factors Practice

This document provides instructions for converting between different units of measurement using conversion factors. It explains the three step process: 1) Write the conversion factors, 2) Write the given unit as a fraction, 3) Multiply the fraction by the conversion factor that cancels out the given unit. Several examples are provided applying this process to convert between inches and feet, feet and yards, and minutes and seconds. Finally, a set of practice problems asks the student to do additional unit conversions between various metric and English units.
