3. Utilities description
Utilities Description
Bluetooth Settings Device registration, connect, and disconnect.
Wireless FTP The plural files to be sent to remote devices by using this utility.
Auto distinction of OPP, FTP, BIP.
Remote Camera Receive images from BIP/Remote Camera function supported device.
Bluetooth Information Add-in to explorer. After send/receive file, you can browse folder, and
Exchanger(BIE) exchange vCard.
Auto Setup Utility to drivers install, setting parameters automatically. It works as a
part of installer.
VoIP Utility Enable to use Hands-Free device with Skype.
Automatic Registration Enables HID device to be registered automatically when user log-on.
ComReConnect COM ports are Re-Connected automatically.
Bluetooth LOGO Test PTS Test Tool(embedded)
Tool HCI, L2CAP, SDP, and others(only for LOGO)
IT Security Feature Security settings for IT administrator.

4. Function description
Items Description
Outlook Addin Addin to enable sending vCard from Outlook.
For x32 OS, and Outllok 2003.
AFH Support To avoid Wi-Fi channel which duplicate with Bluetooth channel, and try
to protect Bluetooth communication channel.
Wake on BT For PC or Bluetooth module which support USB wake up. (For
Windows XP or over.)
Selective Suspend For PC or Bluetooth module which support USB wake up. (For
Windows XP or over.)
Keyboard Utility When Bluetooth Keyboard is registered, the status of keyboard is
displayed.
FUS support Automatically switch Bluetooth access right to active user.
Dynamic Language Automatically switch language dynamically by watching the OS
Selection language. (include Help files)
Software Virtual Power Bluetooth ON/OFF emulation utility for power uncontrollable device
Management such as USB adapter.
Enhanced IT Security Function to enable to control on Bluetooth function to limited users.
Management Security settings, remote maintenance, and control functions to limited
users by IT Manager.
Windows Media Player Plug-in to Windows Media Player to transfer META data. (V6.30 or
Plug-in later)

5. COM ports assignment rule
Toshiba stack assigns COM ports avoiding preoccupied COM ports by following rules as next.
1) SPP (Installation) default: COM6, COM7
2) OBEX default: COM10, COM11, COM12, COM13, COM14
3) HSP/HFP default: COM20, COM21, COM22
4) SPP/DUN: COM40
If the default COM port(s) was preoccupied, assigns following free COM port(s) instead.

6. INSTALLATION
Operation examples:
1) User Installation
Setup.exe
(Setup.exe will detect OS version of x32 or x64 and install appropriate version)
1. Start installation with "Setup.exe"
2. Proceed installation by following instructions from install wizard.
3. Insert Bluetooth USB adapter when the message appeared to prompt insert the Bluetooth device to the
computer.
4. Continue the installation process.
5. Bluetooth Stack is ready to use after completion of the installation process.

2) Factory installation (un-attended mode. Login as administrator for installation. )

Note Install command to start silent install with setup.exe.

3) Administrator installation

4) Install when detecting the device (Option)


Setup.exe of the root folder in the install image supports hardware detection installation.

Option: /DETECT:"<HWID>"
e.g.
start /wait setup.exe /s /v/qn /DETECT:"USB\Vid_****&Pid_****"

Note:
As some files are not copied automatically, the mst file of the selected language, setup.exe, setup.ini files
need to be copied to the installed folder (which BtSwInst.msi file is in) manually for client user's installation.

The export tool is launched by the installer automatically, and administrator can edit an initialization file
(tosBtUtil.ini) for customizing detail of security settings. Import feature installs this customized security
settings when the client user installs it.

8. Major update history

Version 6.30.02
1. tosrfusb.sys is updated.
BSOD possibility fixed.
There was a possibility of BSOD of tosrfusb.sys on the module which Selective Suspend is on as a
default.
2. TosBtSDDB.dll is updated.
Internal code is updated.
3. Icon in the tasktray stays green.
When input more than 1024 characters in Device Name in Option menu, icon in the tasktray stays
green.

Version 6.30.01
1. Fixed the possibility of BSOD under PAN connection. (tosrfusb.sys updated)
There was a possibility of BSOD on selecting Disable Bluetooth Radio under PAN connection. It
happened not only on file sending/receiving, but also folder browsing of PAN server.

Version 6.30.00
1. HFP V1.5 Profile is supported.
Basic design is not changed. API is updated. SDK will be updated.
2. AVRCP V1.3 Profile is supported.
In addition to PathTrough command, there are more updated functions, such as META data transfer
function.
3. Windows Media Player (V10/11) Plug-in. (For AVRCP V1.3)
For support of META data transfer, the plug-in module for Windows Media Player is included.
4. Battery Status Monitor is available. (Requires target device to support AVRCP 1.3.)
5. PAN Auto Re-connection
PAN Re-connection after Hibernation/Standby.

9. Notes

Drivers only installation/ un-installation


Drivers only installation/ un-installation (ddsetup.exe) functions are not included. Drivers only installation/
un-installation is provided by request base.

Windows Operating System Upgrade


Please uninstall the stack before upgrading the Windows Operating System, and install the stack again
after upgrading.

Mouse works sluggish


Occasionally, using Bluetooth Mouse with Bluetooth mono headset, Bluetooth Mouse works sluggish.
It depends on the Bluetooth devices to use.

Skype application support


For Skype V3.6.0.216 and later version, name of the audio driver is corrupted, because of Skype issue.
This is fixed on Skype V3.8.0.115.

Install folder changed


Some of the stack files (ex. .dll files for API) install folder has been changed since V6.20 and later, because
of Microsoft OEM Ready Program requirement.
Those were in System32 prior to V6.20, in Program Files V6.20 and later.
We added a new folder in our environment variable path for search, so the application using these files can
keep compatibility with our stack.
