Daily Lesson Plan in General Mathematics Polynomial Functions

This daily lesson plan outlines a mathematics class on polynomial functions. The objectives are for students to evaluate functions, perform operations on functions, and solve problems involving functions. Students will work in groups to identify functions, solve examples, and graph functions. They will present their work and solutions. The class will conclude with a pen and paper test and homework assignment of solving and graphing additional problems.

Daily Lesson Plan in General Mathematics

Polynomial Functions

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, 90% of the students will be able to:

a. Evaluates a function;
b. Performs addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and composition of functions; and
c. Solve problems involving functions.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

a. Topic: Functions and their Graphs

Reference: Learners Manual, Teachers Guide

b. Materials:
Paper, Ball pen, Graphing Paper, Manila paper, Marker

III. PROCEDURE\

Motivation
The teacher will group the students into three (3) groups. Each group will choose a
secretary. She will be the one to write the answer on a metacard. The teacher will
present different example of functions and they will try to identify what kind of
function will be presented. The group who will get the highest points will be given a
merit.

Enhancement Activity:

Presentation of the discussion to be done by the teacher using interactive discussion of

the concept for better understanding.

Application of Knowledge:
Group Activity
Each group will brainstorm and solve the given example. They will solve and graph the
functions. After which, the students will present their collaborative work in front. The group
will post their solutions in a manila paper. Output of the students will be posted on the
board for discussion and sharing or reporting of ideas gathered.

IV. EVALUATION

Pen and Paper Test

V. ASSIGNMENT
