Agg. MV
County Year Total Violent Murder Rape Robbery Assault Property Burglary Larceny Theft
Index and violent crime totals for 2015 and 2016 include the numb er of rapes reported under the expanded definition.
*Schenectady Police Department identified a discrepancy in the numb er of crimes sub mitted to DCJS in 2015 that was not resolved b y the
pub lication of this report. As a result, the numb er of Index crimes for Schenectady County may b e lower than the actual numb er of offenses
reported to law enforcement in 2015 and caution should b e used when comparing those numb ers to 2016 statistics.
