TRADITIONAL COSTUMES FOR THE TALENT SHOW


"UJANG AND ALUH"
REGENCY OF SUKAMARA

Clothing worn Ujang and Aluh Sukamara theme is Traditional Clothing with Malay ethnic. For

Sukamara people, who hold much of the wealth of Malay tradition, Malay dress not only is

functioning as a body protector of hot and cold is also a cultural symbol that marks the

development, acculturation and cultural peculiarities.

Ujang Sukamara is wearing Malay dress "Cekak Musang" consisting of the baju kurung, pants,

sampin cloth and head cover (tanjak / lawung). While Aluh Sukamara is wearing Malay dress

"Kebaya Laboh" which consists of kebaya, skirts, pants, cloth sampin and headgear.

The dominant colors used are orange which symbolizes greatness, dignity, splendor and

sincerity as well as the spirit of heroism, courage, obedience and loyalty to parents, religious

leaders and leaders. The green color that symbolizes fertility and prosperity, and obedient and

faithful to religious teachings in his embrace.

Sampin cloth (sarong) that wrapped Ujang and Aluh Sukamara is a typical batik sukamara

with KARA (KANTONG SEMAR) Melayu - Dayak combination of motif. The existence of

amethyst gemstone ornaments on batik symbolizes the source of natural wealth in the regency

of sukamara, which is dominated by the color purple symbol of grandeur and glory.
