Brain speed an asset or a challenge?


The human brain can process anywhere
between 200 words per minute to 800 words
per minute
If any one speaks at a speed which is more
than 60 words per minute, it becomes very
difficult to follow.
The weak link is the ear, not the brain.
So your brain will always drift away from what
is being said.

Overcoming the challenge of
brain speed
When the brain drifts, immediately write
down what it says
Very often it could be valuable.
Also the act of writing slows the drift,
and usually you return to the conversation or
the lecture.

Value for Money


Your course costs Rs 12 Lakh
You encounter an average of 6 courses per term
for 6 terms.
So the cost of one course = ( 12 / 6)/ 6 = 12/36
i.e. 0.33 Lakh
A course has 20 sessions with 60 students each.
So the Value per session = (0.33/20)*60 = 1 Lakh

Come on time, before the door is closed.
Do not go out in between unless it is a life and
death situation.
Biological needs of input and output do not
usually count as life and death.

In case of any disruption, I am required to
deal with it promptly and
Perhaps not so pleasantly.
I have do it
NOT because of any sadistic streak.
But
because I have to protect the value delivered
to the rest of the students in the class room.
