A B C D: 80.71 Multifunction and Multi-Voltage Solid-State Output Timer (SST)

This document describes an 80.71 multifunction and multi-voltage solid-state output timer. The timer can operate on voltages between 19-265V AC/DC, has 1 NO contact rated for 1A, and operates in temperatures from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius. It has rotary dials to select time scales and functions, and can be used for on-delay, off-delay, interval, and symmetrical flasher applications. Wiring diagrams show options for starting the timer via the supply line or an external contact.

WORKING CONDITIONS
PI In conformity
PE with the European Directive on EMC (89/336/EEC), the
timer relay has a level of immunity, against radiated and conducted
disturbances, considerably higher than requirements of EN 61812-1
standard. However, devices like transformers, motors, contactors,
3e switches and power cables may cause disturbances and even damage
the timer electronic circuit. For that reason, the wiring cables must be
as short as possible, and, when necessary, the timer shall be protected
PI PE
by the relevant RC network, varistor or surge voltage protector.
