QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
A. CSC Prescribed Qualifications
Education MA in Educ. or its equivalent
Experience 5 years relevant experience involving management & supervision
Eligibility CES
Trainings 32 hours of training in management & supervision
B. Preferred Qualifications
Education MA in Educ. or its equivalent and at least 6 units in Doctoral Degree in management & supervision
Experience 5 years of relevant experience involving management & supervision
Eligibility EMT or Licensure Examination for Superintendent and CES
Trainings 48 hours of training in manangement & supervision
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists in developing and implementing research agenda for the division


2. Assists in ensuring compliance to quality standards and managing programs for curricula implementation, localization of curricula, teaching
materials and IMS use, use of test results and setting priorities for supervision
3. Identifies training needs of teaching and non-teaching personnel in the Division in cooperation with the subject area supervisors
4. Evaluates performance of supervisors, PSDS, principals
5. Coordinates and implements INSET / Coordinates and supervises/monitor the implementation of INSET
6. Formulates staff development plan for teaching and non-teaching staff of the Division
7. Assists in DEDP preparation, implementation and monitoring
8. Assists in SIP/LCIPevaluation
9. Assists in promoting accreditation/equivalency standards
10. Manages MIS including consolidation and updating of data and reports
11. Recommends policies on textbooks use, teacher deployment, ALS service delivery based on MIS
12. Monitors administrative and procurement unit
13. Coordinates SBO allocations, priority setting, site acquisitions
14. Assists in budget preparation and allocation
15. Assists in fund-sourcing through, but not limited to, networking with LGU, NGO,GOs, & other agencies
16. Ensures proper use of funds and resources at DO, schools and learning centers
17. Coordinates with private schools on curriclum implementation and INSET programs
18. Assists in evaluation of applications for new schools, separation of annexes, integration of schools, permit/recognition to operate
19. Assists the selection, hiring and placing of all Division staff, teachers/ALS facilitators and principals
20. Manages staff development and welfare program
21. Leads in the investigation/fact-finding for legal cases
22. Servwes as Chairman of Bids and Awards Committee of the Division
